Print / Colour Mangement- Day Workshop

If you are one of the many individuals who love to print their own photos or have actually been doing that but without decent results, this workshop is definitely for you. Printing your own photos is not a difficult process but it is one that requires knowledge of what to do and how to go about it. Once you have those basics, you will definitely start printing the way you like and with photos of which you can be proud.

Workshop Overview
  • Colour Management: You will learn screen calibration, tagged profiles, as well as canned versus custom profiles. You will also learn about the different types of printers as well as the pros and cons of each one.
  • Preparing Our Prints: Sharpening, resizing and soft proofing.
  • Exploring Paper Types: This includes the range of paper types, from High Gloss to Beautiful Matte Art papers.
  • Take home notes of everything covered in the workshop
  • Post workshop support
Live Printing: We will do live printing and you get to have a free 11” by 16” print. The printing will be done via a Canon Wideformat IPF 6450 so do not forget to bring along an image file that you would like to print.

By the end of this workshop, you will no longer view printing as a mystery but start seeing it as a very enjoyable and rewarding exercise.

This workshop is held at Ocean Grove, Victoria, about a 1.5 hr drive from Melbourne
