WA - The South West
Our workshop will start on Tuesday morning where you will be picked up in Perth, we will make our way down to Dunsborough, this will be our base for the first night of our workshop. On the way we will stop off and photograph the famous Busselton Jetty, extending 1.8 kilometers over the protected waters of Geographe Bay, the heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.
From Dunsborough we will explore this fantastic area as far south as Margaret River, rich and diverse in photographic fodder, from rugged iconic places like Sugarloaf Rock, Canal Rocks, Castle Rock,Yallingup, Bunker Bay, Prevelly Park, Gnarabup Bay, and Redgates to the quiet turquoise waters of Meelup Beach.
Our accommodation at Dunsborough will be at the beautiful "Waterfront Dunsborough", here you will have the comforts of home and each person has their own room.

Heading south from Dunsborough, our next stop is Augusta. Outlying the town is spectacular rugged coastal scenery with the treacherous seas of the Southern Ocean. Augusta is the most south-western town in Australia and is nearby to Boranup Forest, Jewel Cave and Hamelin Bay.
We now head inland through the Karri forest as we make our way to Denmark. We have two nights here to explore this amazing area.
Albany is our last stop, where we take in it's rugged coastline.

What will I learn
Seascapes are pretty much my specialty, join me on this workshop, and I will teach you the secrets of making awesome Seascape images.
There is a lot to learn with so many different elements that will dictate what images we produce when shooting seascapes.
Here are some key points we will cover:
Not only is this workshop full of fantastic locations but during our shooting sessions I will be on hand to guide you and improve your photography. We can cover technical or visual techniques, no matter what level you are at my aim is that you gain some movement forward in your photography skills whilst attending my workshop. And with only 4 participants there will be plenty of one on one time where I will work with you personally at your level. You will also be asked to bring 5 prints along for a group critique, these sessions are invaluable and it really is amazing what we all learn when dissecting and analyzing an image.
So rest assured that during the workshop I will be your guide and your teacher.

Testimonials
Dean led our South-West coastal photography workshop recently, and it was great to get away for a few days and just focus on photography
The accommodation was excellent, and Dean provided lots of nutritious food to keep us going.
I learned a lot from his relaxed style of teaching, and picked up many useful guidelines and tips to get good compositions, pick good light, and use filters in a creative way.
Dean picked the best locations, and we were rewarded with excellent scenes to capture. Thank-you Dean.
