King Island is an amazing place, if you are after cute white sandy beaches, upmarket shopping and endless accommodation and eating places then forget it, KI is not your groove.
What it does have is a remote feel, it is definitely a step back in time, the locals wave to you as they pass you on the roads, how cool is that. It is a beautiful place but you may need to look deeply as it is a rugged beauty, one that tells many stories. King Island is quite varied in its landscape, a mix of open sandy beaches, rugged rocky outcrops, a calcified Forrest and an inland that is mainly prime grazing country. It is certainly a place like no other, if you are after somewhere raw and natural with a wild touch to photograph then please do join me on this workshop. |

What will I learn
Seascapes remain some of the most amazing and breathtaking pictures ever taken and this workshop affords you a very unique opportunity to learn seascape photography in one of the best locations for this genre of photography and with a professional that specializes in coastal photography. Ever looked at a picture of a stormy sea scene set against high reefs and skies flecked with diverse colours stretching hungrily until it joins the roiling sea on the horizon? It never loses its magnificence and enchantment. Capturing such scenes requires a skill set that needs to be imparted from someone who has sufficient experience. The Seascapes Workshop has been packaged to teach you all the skills you need to shoot amazing Seascapes, and one of its great points is that with 3 participants only you get plenty of one on one time with me. The location of this Seascape Workshop is King Island which is picture perfect for the purpose. Learning seascape photography requires that you be attuned to the environment and at King Island you will find it easy to locate and make choices based on various parameters which I will teach you. We will have a variety of beaches from which to choose and the opportunities for coastal photography are bountiful. In all, what you will get from this workshop is a unique experience, one that must be approached with an open mind and expectation of learning rare skills and techniques. |
