New Zealand's South Island
Exploring the mountains and lakes between Christchurch and Queenstown we will have fantastic scenery, with the backdrop of snow capped mountains. My first workshop here was back in 2015, every year I return I'm still astounded by the South Island's raw beauty.... the people are amazing too. I have carefully planned the itinerary of this workshop to include maximum time for shooting. I think you will find that the variety of locations will give you plenty of opportunities to explore and expand your photography. I will be working one on one with you, guiding and providing support along the way. At the end of each day, we will retire to fantastic accommodation where you will have the privacy of a single room. Breakfast and main meals are included and are on par with the scenery. As a photo destination, the South Island of New Zealand is world-class, I do hope you can join me as we tour this amazing country. |

Workshop Locations
Our workshop will begin in Christchurch, from where we will journey to Lake Tekapo and then make our way to Queenstown, exploring the stunning lakes and mountains along the route. We will enjoy fantastic scenery, including a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, and since it is winter, we may have the opportunity to experience fresh snowfall. Christchurch - Our workshop starts here, and we will travel to Lake Tekapo to visit the famous Church of the Good Shepherd and other local gems. Mount Cook - We will venture into this iconic location to photograph Tasman Lake. Fingers crossed, we’ll have some icebergs in the foreground! Lake Ohau - This hidden ski lodge is situated on an amazing lake, offering awesome photo opportunities. Wanaka - From there, we’ll cross the beautiful Lindis Pass to Wanaka to capture "That Tree" along with other spots that are less frequented by tourists. Queenstown - Our final night will be spent in Queenstown, a breathtaking place surrounded by mountains and located on the shores of the crystal-clear Lake Wakatipu. We will arrive on Friday and have most of Saturday to explore areas to the north, including Glenorchy and Kinloch. The workshop will conclude around 3 PM on Saturday, allowing you time to fly out that night or choose to stay on for a few extra days. |
